Looking to care for local trees this Earth Day? Join Newport Tree Conservancy in Miantonomi Park for our first Save the Seedlings event!

Native seedlings in the Miantonomi woodland are often at risk of being outcompeted by established invasive plants or inadvertently mowed over before they can grow. Our staff has identified vulnerable seedlings and will teach you how to dig them up and pot them, giving them a new chance at life! The seedlings you pot up will return to NTC's Minnie Cushing Coleman Heritage Tree Nursery, where they will grow for future native tree planting programs. No prior experience is necessary. Gloves and tools are provided.
